A Red Dead Redemption 2 fan has shared their latest pencil painting of protagonist Arthur Morgan, which is incredibly detailed.

As protagonist Arthur Morgan travels the west in Red Dead Redemption 2, he frequently jots down notes and sketches interesting creatures and scenes. Perhaps it's because of this attention to detail that so many artists have attempted to reproduce the people and surroundings of Red Dead Redemption 2 in other art genres.

Beautiful landscapes abound in Red Dead Redemption 2, as do a plethora of small elements that have an impact on the environment and the characters who live it. However, Arthur himself is a common subject for Red Dead drawings, and one artist has recently published an extraordinarily stunning pencil illustration.

The Red Dead Redemption forum received a new pencil illustration of Arthur Morgan from Redditor ragneidr. The post has received a lot of positive feedback from the community, and for good cause. The art is fully done in pencil, with extensive crosshatching and shading methods.

On the back of his horse, Arthur can be seen rising up in a majestic position. From the weaponry Arthur carries on his horse to the seams on his trousers and boots, everything is rendered with meticulous attention to detail. Although there is no colour in the artwork, shading and light are handled to great effect, producing a sense of shadow over Arthur's face and giving the piece depth. The ultimate product is stunning, and it might easily have been superb Red Dead Redemption 2 concept art from one of the game's creators.

Despite the fact that Red Dead Redemption 2 has been out for several years, many players remain devoted to the game. Even those who have spent hundreds of hours in the game will find something new on each playtime thanks to the open environment, and the small nuances in Red Dead Redemption 2 continue to surprise and wow new players. The intricacies in the game appear limitless, whether it's a fire bottle literally exploding into a lot of smashed glass or Arthur's eyes dilating and mirroring the surroundings around them.

Red Dead Redemption 3 has yet to receive an official release date or development statement from Rockstar Games, so it's possible that it'll be as popular as GTA 5 or The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim. Fans of the Red Dead Online component, however, are dissatisfied with the way Rockstar has handled the game. However, there's no denying that the game's basic story mode is fantastic, and artists like ragneidr are likely to continue creating spectacular pieces as they fall in love with it.
