Manga and anime enthusiasts, particularly those who are admirers of Hiro Mashima's works, are in for a treat with the release of EDENS ZERO Pocket Galaxy by Konami. EDENS ZERO Pocket Galaxy is an isometric, hack and slash action role-playing game in which players assume the roles of their favourite franchise characters. Join Shiki Granbell, Rebecca Bluegarden, Happy, and Weisz Steiner, among others, as they relive stories from the manga and anime series while also embarking on new adventures.
EDENS ZERO Pocket Galaxy tells the storey of the main protagonist, Shiki Granbell, and his comrades in a distinct yet familiar manner, promising to enthral fans of the series as well as those unfamiliar with the world's lore. Along with its high-definition graphics, the game has fully narrated storey quests and action-packed skirmishes.
Adventurers face a long voyage ahead of them, with countless obstacles at every turn. With allies to discover and partner up with along the road, and multiple features to grow and develop each character, players are equipped with more than enough tools to overcome any obstacle that arises.
While the overall quality of EDENS ZERO Pocket Galaxy may appear intimidating at first appearance, it is an action adventure RPG that virtually anybody can pick up and play, providing their device satisfies the game's minimum requirements.
The tutorial at the start of your journey into its world will ensure that you have a firm handle on the game's fundamental concepts, and the interface and control arrangement are intuitive even for complete beginners. Additionally, detailed introductions accompany each new feature or game style that becomes accessible.
In general, EDENS ZERO Pocket Galaxy may involve some grinding, but it scarcely limits players' development in terms of their available time and effort. If you want to accelerate your growth, accomplish more tasks, and dominate your opponents, stick around and read our EDENS ZERO Pocket Galaxy beginner's guide!
The first few minutes after entering EDENS ZERO Pocket Galaxy are already part of the main plot. As is the case with the majority of adventures, there will be plenty of narration as you become acquainted with the protagonist and his surroundings. Although you can skip the tales, it is recommended that you read them all the way through, especially if you are unfamiliar with the series.
While storey chapters may vary in terms of overall material, combat will always be included. Your characters will get EXP as you progress through the stages, and each stage has its unique set of prizes. Additionally, each scenario has a first-time completion prize, and, most crucially, characters are unlocked as you move through the game's tale.
EDENS ZERO Pocket Galaxy distinguishes itself from typical RPGs by offering a large number of characters to recruit and upgrade. There are no gacha mechanics in the game, and every player is guaranteed to get every playable character based on their progress through the main campaign. The main quest line is accessed via the ship's wheel. Make a point of comparing the recommended party rating to your actual party rating to get a sense of its relative difficulty.
Additionally, EDENS ZERO Pocket Galaxy includes an auto mode from the start, making it extremely convenient and simple for players to breeze through some stages. However, we recommend that you use this function sparingly on previously conquered levels. As convenient as auto mode is, regardless of the player's skill level, it should never perform as well as a thinking player.

While we're on the subject of replays, bear in mind that EDENS ZERO Pocket Galaxy allows you to revisit any episode you've previously conquered. On the scenario page where the next task is marked, click the "Main Story Completed" banner to view a list of the episodes you've completed. Any of them can be replayed for EXP and random goodies.
Given that the recommended party rating for the next episode may unexpectedly increase to levels that exceed the strength of your existing party, grinding through prior episodes may be an option to explore if progression is stymied. Additionally, as you proceed through the plot, special events and other game modes will become accessible, and switching to them to further enhance your characters will also be an option if you are unable to continue.
You will only play as a solo act for a brief period of time during your adventures, since the opening episodes of EDENS ZERO Pocket Galaxy will quickly introduce you to and enlist new characters. You'll soon have a crew of three heroes to assist you with subsequent challenges, though additional characters will join in as you advance. As predicted, each character has a unique set of characteristics and abilities, as well as a primary class or role within the team.
Choosing a trio of characters is only the beginning of creating a squad in EDENS ZERO Pocket Galaxy. Each character may have a specific class or role, but each can be constructed in a variety of ways. Characters can be tanks, attackers, rangers, or healers. Each player has their own set of base numbers and characteristics that are tailored to their specific role on the squad.
Tanks have the greatest defensive capabilities, which are typically demonstrated by their enormous HP or defence stat qualities. These characters generally deflect opponent aggression away from friends and act as a human shield for the squad. Shiki, the protagonist, is a tank.
An attacker is the polar opposite of a tank, being developed primarily for offensive purposes. While attackers can dispatch adversaries more quickly than other classes, they typically fall behind in terms of defence. Homura is an attacker, the fourth character who will join your team.
Rangers typically use ranged assaults and are weaker offensively than attackers. In EDENS ZERO Pocket Galaxy, Rangers have support talents that can either benefit allies or debuff hostile units. Weisz exemplifies a ranger.
Finally, but certainly not least, are healers who lack both attacking and defensive talents. However, these types of units are critical for their health regeneration abilities, which increase the team's survivability. Rebecca, your first ally, is a healer in the game.
While the amount of attack power and health gained by each character varies, the gear you equip them with and the skills you choose for them will ultimately determine their role.
EDENS ZERO Pocket Galaxy features over 100 unique costumes for your heroes. While this enables near-infinite customization options, the more noteworthy component of character development, in our opinion, is the talents you invest in and the gear types you choose for each character, particularly those on your primary squad.
One of the game's personalization options revolves around the skills available to each character. When your hero advances to a new level, he or she not only gains stat boosts, but also skill points. To spend earned skill points, tap the character icon in the lower right-hand corner of your screen and then select "Skill Tree."
Each character's skill tree is unique, but the underlying premise is that you must invest points in one node in order to continue investing in all nodes connected to it. While this is quite restrictive, with proper preparation, you can still prioritise the skills you wish to gain first. On the lower left side of the page, you can view the character's available skill points, and highlighting any node will disclose the points required to activate the skill.
What's nice about the skill tree is that highlighting locked nodes still provides information about the skill's functionality. Take note of the skill type icon on the lower left side of each node, as you can only equip a certain number of each skill type at a time.
Once unlocked, the talent will remain inaccessible to the character and will require equipping. To do so, navigate to the main menu by clicking on the main menu icon in the upper right corner of the screen and selecting "Skills." Each character has three Ether Skills, three Recast Skills, four Passive Skills, and an unchangeable Special Skill.
Rather than that, Ether Skills or Ether Skill effects augment the character's Ether Skills. Nota bene: While Ether Skills require Ether Points or EP, they can be utilised indefinitely in combat as long as you have enough EP. Your equipped Recast Skills work as add-ons to the character's Recast Skill. While recast abilities do not cost EP, they still have cooldown periods. Finally, but certainly not least, among customisable skills are passives. At any time, you may equip up to four passive abilities.
We recommend beginning with skill purchases in the skill tree that will enable you to acquire a complete skill set. This entails pursuing the first three ether skills, the first three recast skills, and the first four passive skills available on the talent tree. This may necessitate acquiring some abilities in excess of what you can equip, but it will provide the quickest path to equipping all skill kinds.
One of the most subtle character traits in EDENS ZERO Pocket Galaxy is friendship abilities. These are distinct passive characteristics that become active as a character continues to land normal attacks during combat. While you will eventually be joined by individuals of the same class as those currently on your roster, their distinct friendship abilities will have an impact on your team and the current task.
Apart from narratives and other gaming mechanics and features, a large portion of the joy and excitement associated with any RPG is tied to its cast of characters and the gears that allow these characters to be further customised to the player's preferences.
Selecting the appropriate characters for your team in relation to the work at hand and understanding how to utilise the squad as a whole effectively in combat are only two aspects of how you employ techniques in an adventure. A substantial number, if not a majority, of these techniques concern how you choose to equip each character.
EDENS ZERO Pocket Galaxy does not lag behind other RPGs in terms of equipment, since the game features a diverse selection of gear that not only strengthens your characters, but also complements the builds you create for each of them. There are basic weapons, armour components, and accessories included in the basic equipment set, and then there is unique equipment called Lacrima that increases a character's characteristics even more.
EDENS ZERO Pocket Galaxy is quite generous in terms of offering players with a plethora of gears and tools to upgrade them. However, simply having access to these gears will not bridge the gap between your team's strength and the level of difficulty presented, as you will need to maximise the effectiveness of these supplements. The weapons you acquire can only be equipped by specific characters, and the armour sets you acquire are either suitable for male or female characters. Certain equipment slots contain objects that are completely unrestrictive.
You can view the equipment worn by the characters by clicking on the main menu button and selecting "Equipment." Each character is equipped with ten distinct slots, and further equipment is listed on the right side of the screen. Equipment has varying degrees of rarity, as indicated by the stars and the colour of the gear.
Equipment of a higher grade typically comes with stronger stat increases and other benefits. You can equip characters quickly and easily by clicking the "Optimize" button on the lower right side of the page. Thus, you can optimise equipment selections depending on either overall stats or on any specific stat attribute.
You may view the level of any item of equipment by clicking on it, as well as the stats it provides the character. However, these are not the only factors to consider while selecting the appropriate gear. Perks are located under the E. Trait tab of the gear window, and while they do not directly effect stats, they can significantly improve a character's performance.
More crucially, some pieces of equipment are part of a set, and equipping two or more pieces of gear from the same set might grant the character additional perks.
Considering the foregoing, equipping characters using the optimise function is rarely the optimal method. It takes a little more effort to determine the optimal set of equipment for each hero, taking into account their roles and weaknesses. For starters, you can invest on strengthening your tank's health and defence.
Alternatively, you might invest in his or her attacking strength in order to create a more balanced type character. Both of these reasons are illustrative, and any choice in between is possible. It should be determined by what you believe is most appropriate for your tastes and playing style.
The Lacrima Equipment function is located under the Character menu and provides an additional method of improving your characters' stats. There are only a few variants of Lacrima available, each of which focuses on a different stat of the character. Lacrima Equipment, like basic equipment, has rarity grades, which essentially define the effectiveness of its effects.
While you may initially be content with fully equipping your characters with Lacrima Shards, you will soon have the option of selecting the optimal ones for each of them. Along with the types that decide which stats are improved by the shards, it's important to consider the sub characteristics associated with each type.
Additionally, equipment can be levelled up to improve its stat qualities. Although higher-grade equipment will be more difficult to obtain early in your adventure, we recommend exercising caution in upgrading them if they are three stars or less, as you will almost surely be leaving them behind sooner or later. To upgrade equipment, click on the item icon in the lower right corner of the screen and select "Equipment Upgrade."
Each piece of equipment requires a unique upgrade shard and metal. The higher the level of upgrading, the more materials you will require. If it appears to be straightforward to boost an item's level cap, keep in mind that the next set of upgrades will demand better grade resources.
As shown by the other set of stars on its website, limit breaks are limited. As such, it is advisable to conserve your resources for items that you are positive will be used by your characters for an extended period of time, if not permanently.
In EDENS ZERO Pocket Galaxy, both basic and lacrima equipment can be constructed. While there are numerous opportunities to acquire either on your journeys, you may be able to obtain superior ones just aboard your ship. "Crafting" in the item menu takes you to a section where you can craft either equipment or cosmetics. Both features are random, which means that every attempt to make an item includes the danger of not getting the ones you desire.
To manufacture equipment, you'll need shards unique to the type of equipment you desire, as well as metal proportionate to the rarity grade of the greatest possible goods. The product will be chosen at random from the whole list provided, depending on the recipes.
Given that you have no other need for these shards, it is generally advisable to gamble whenever possible. To make cosmetics, you simply need Iridescent Material. These materials may be more difficult to obtain, however there are events that can assist you in earning them.
Lacrima Crafting is somewhat different from standard equipment crafting. In essence, this method functions more like a feature that is separated into two options. Lacrima crafting can be used to raise the rarity of an item or to enhance the benefits of a sub trait.
To initiate either process, you must sacrifice five shards of the same type and rarity in order to generate one of a higher grade or with a more effective sub attribute. Probabilities also apply to this procedure, which can be improved by spending Glee or EG.
Additionally, you should be mindful that gear, Lacrima shards, and cosmetics all have restricted inventory slots. While it may be some time until you find yourself unable to purchase further items due to a shortage of available space in your inventory, it is best to begin managing your items early.
The item menu in EDENS ZERO Pocket Galaxy includes a feature that enables you to quickly and conveniently discard undesirable objects. While some can be sold for more resources, others must be sold for Glee. Whichever option you choose, this function will ensure that you have something to do with otherwise useless items that takes up inventory space.
As discussed previously in this tutorial, EDENS ZERO Pocket Galaxy includes an auto mode that allows your squad of heroes to complete the stage or episode objective on its own. As convenient as this is, we want to emphasise that regardless of your talents and level of knowledge in fighting, manual controls will always prove to be the superior option to auto mode. The exceptions, of course, would be repeat runs of previously conquered stages with recommended ratings significantly lower than what your squad now has.
To begin, auto mode will concentrate entirely on the work at hand. Whether it's filling up a metre in order to ultimately progress to the next area or diving directly into a boss fight, auto mode ignores all other aspects of the experience. You may not see it immediately, but by clicking on the tiny map in the upper left corner of the adventure screen, the whole map becomes visible. In the majority of stages, there are spots on the map that contain treasure chests that you must interact with in order to unlock and claim the benefits contained therein.
Automatic mode will entirely disregard these treasure chests, and the only method to secure them is to approach them manually. Although chest rewards are random and may become insignificant at some point, they are excellent sources of additional gear and materials that can aid you early in your quest.
Once the metre required to reach the boss battle is depleted, or if it does not exist at all, auto mode will ignore any foes in its path and travel directly to the assigned place. While auto mode is effective in pursuing the area or stage's objectives, it may result in lost opportunities or threats to your squad.
For one thing, auto mode will never use the dodge function, instead merely absorbing damage all the way to the stage's end. Similarly, additional adversaries can provide opportunities to earn additional XP or Glee.
Auto mode will always activate available skills but never the character's ultimate skill. As efficient as it may appear to execute active skills sequentially, skill usage timing is critical in RPGs like EDENS ZERO Pocket Galaxy.
Knowing when to fire your ace attacks, protect teammates, or activate a healing effect are just a few examples of tasks that require precise time. Switching between offensive and defensive mode when it is the enemy's turn to launch a devastating strike is another major reason why manual controls are more efficient.
At the conclusion of each episode or stage, you are bound to be pleased with the amount of resources and materials obtained from each run, especially when considering the EXP earned by your characters, which is made even more straightforward by auto mode on subsequent replays. The lack of an energy system that restricts how much time players can spend grinding for resources nearly guarantees that progression is entirely dependent on a player's degree of dedication.
Considering all of the game's features, however, EDENS ZERO Pocket Galaxy provides even more opportunities for players to acquire more things, most notably through the missions feature and limited-time special events.
Missions often do not need additional time or effort because the objectives align with the activities you normally engage in while on your vacation. Special events are frequently accompanied by their own distinct set of difficulties and may need deviating from the standard adventure battles you engage in in order to pursue their unique prizes.
The list of missions can be accessed via the icon located beneath the main menu. Missions are organised into five distinct tabs, each with its own set of objective targets. Everyday missions are the simplest of the bunch and serve as the most fundamental direction to daily activities. Weekly missions are similar to daily missions, however they span the full week and include tasks that you should engage in on a regular basis.
Planet and Character Missions both require Mission Passes, which may be purchased using EG, the game's premium currency. Finally, but certainly not least, are Challenge Quests. These quests are the game's version of achievements and serve as a record of your milestones and accomplishments during your trip.
EDENS ZERO Pocket Galaxy hosts unique special events on a regular basis that give you a unique currency that you can swap for a variety of valuable resources. The spectacular events are supplemented by an original adventure in which you battle your way through stages of increasing difficulty in search of rewards. Additionally to the drops earned during each run, you are guaranteed to acquire event currency.
As with regular plot episodes, you can retry stages in special events if you are unable to progress through the subsequent levels, guaranteeing that you gain the special currency and can trade it for the top rewards. Additionally, throughout the course of the special event, a separate list of daily objectives and challenge missions is available, giving you with additional opportunities to acquire materials and rewards.
