Players will be entrusted with finding a telephone card to contact KK's friend Ed during the third chapter of Ghostwire: Tokyo. Here's where you can look for one.
Ghostwire: Tokyo players will be faced with finding a telephone card in order to call KK's friend Ed after removing the barrier around the Utagawa Shopping District. They'll also need to find a specific phone box with a line outside of the city, which they'll be able to recognize by its distinctive coloration.
While finding the appropriate phone box is simple enough with a little trial and error, obtaining a telephone card is not that straightforward. There are a few available, but most Ghostwire: Tokyo gamers will need the help of a helpful dog to find one.
Because of its small size, finding a telephone card might be difficult, but once players know where to look, it becomes much easy. They don't have to look very hard, as it turns out. They should turn left from the Shrine and then take the first right, which will lead them to a restless spirit on a corner. Fortunately, she just happened to say that she recently observed a dog holding a telephone card.
Sure enough, there's an adorable little Shiba Inu immediately to her left, and gamers will be offered the opportunity to feed it if they read its thoughts (press Square while looking at it). By this point in the game, they should have picked up plenty of dog food, but in the unusual chance that they don't, they can find a bag of the good stuff on the ground just in front of the woman's ghost.
Following the dog's meal, it will lead players north to a back alley where two persons have been kidnapped. They'll locate the phone card they need next to the two piles of garments on the ground. There are a few more phone card locations in the vicinity, including a laundromat to the east of where the dog leads players. However, this is perhaps the easiest to locate, as well as the only one that contains an adorable video game dog.
After obtaining a telephone card, players must locate the appropriate payphone. There are a few on the map, but they can find the one they need by turning right from the Tori gate and then taking the second left. They'll have to contend with a huge gathering of guests as well as a corrupted tree (use KK's Spectral Vision to locate its centre and then kill it with a projectile or melee attack) before they can get there. They'll be able to call Ed using the payphone once all of that is taken care of.
Some players may not receive a prompt to contact Ed even after finding the correct payphone due to a problem. While this will almost certainly be addressed in a future patch or update, users experiencing issues should save and then restart the game. They should be able to contact Ed after reloading by pushing the L2 button while facing the receiver, much like when transferring Spirits from their Katashiro.
Ghostwire: Tokyo will be released for PC and PS5 on March 25. The Deluxe Edition of the game will be available to play starting March 22 for anyone who pre-ordered it.
