How to Set Up Streamlabs Donations Tipping/donations are a typical way for Twitch streamers to make some additional cash on the side, in addition to selling virtual things, merchandising, sponsored content, and so on. Once you've met the requirements, you can set up donations on Twitch. You have the option of paying a monthly subscription in exchange for a few extra features for your subscribers, or simply collecting Twitch bits to earn money. If you're in a hurry, you can start accepting donations right now using Streamlabs on Twitch.
To use the native option, you must be a Twitch partner and earn certain achievements, which include:
If you don't satisfy the requirements, you can utilise Streamlabs, a third-party programme. It will allow you to make donations right away and for no cost.
Streamlabs does not take a percentage of your donations, which makes it a better option than Twitch, which takes a 30% cut. Here's how you can use Streamlabs to collect donations.
1. Go to the Streamlabs website and log in using the Login option in the top right corner.
2. You can use your Twitch, YouTube, or Facebook account to log in here. You can log in using any service, regardless of which service you want to set up donations for.
3. The Streamlabs Dashboard will open. In the left sidebar, select the Settings option.
4. It takes you straight to the Donation Settings page. By pressing the appropriate button, you can connect your payment method to Streamlabs, such as Paypal, Credit Card, or Skrill.
5. Log in to those accounts and connect them to Streamlabs using the steps above.
Using Streamlabs, you have successfully finished the donation setup. You can now use Twitch or any other streaming provider to connect.
I'm using Twitch because it's the most popular live streaming service, but the processes are the same for any other service. After you've set up Streamlabs to accept donations on Twitch, follow these steps:
1. Your tip page will be available at streamlabs.com/USERNAME when you've connected your payment method in the Streamlabs donation settings. The URL is at the top of the donation page, but if you don't see it, replace USERNAME with your username in the above URL to get to your donation page.
2. Copy this URL and put it into your Twitch profile. Open Twitch and select the Channel option by clicking on your profile picture in the upper right corner.
3. On the Channel page, go to the About tab and turn on the Edit Panels toggle.
4. To add a new donation panel to your Twitch profile, click the Plus icon.
5. Choose Add a Text or Image Panel from the drop-down menu.
6. Select Add Image from the newly generated window. Many donation Twitch Panels can be found online, or you can make your own utilising Twitch panel creators or panel templates. Use the Donations panel if you already have a Twitch panel collection.
7. In the Image Links to area, paste the URL you copied from Streamlabs.
8. When you're finished, click Submit.
On Twitch, you've successfully added a Streamlabs donation panel. When someone watches your Twitch streams and clicks on the contribution panel, they will be led to your Streamlabs tipping website, where they can tip you.
Streamlabs allows you to tailor the donation choice to your liking. You have the option to alter the currency to whatever you choose. You can set the minimum, maximum, suggested amount, and donation leaderboard, among other things.
These options can be changed on your browser's Streamlabs dashboard under Settings > Donation Settings > Settings.
You must be a Streamlabs premier member, which costs $19 per month, to design your tipping page.
Open your Streamlabs dashboard > Themes and Overlays > Tip Page Themes if you're already a Prime user.
Select whatever theme you'd want to use on your tipping page and then click Install. If you're a Prime member, you may also customise everything on the page by selecting the Custom Tip Page option in the sidebar. Videos, apparel, a scoreboard, a contact form, a social media feed, a Discord server invite link, and the ability to modify the page if it's your website for collecting money are just a few possibilities.
In the sidebar, you'll see the Tip History area, which contains all of the tips/donations you've received thus far. Due to the fact that people can donate monthly via subscription, you can view all of your monthly tips in the Monthly tips section, as well as all of the members who have enabled recurring payments in the My Members option. Aside from donations, Streamlabs also includes Streamlabs OBS, which makes broadcasting simple.
