Customize Window Desktop to Make Windows Look Like MacOS

Windows 11 introduced a number of aesthetic modifications, some of which were influenced by the macOS operating system. The Taskbar, for example, is now positioned to the centre, although there are ways to restore the Windows 10 layout. What other options do we have? Actually, quite a bit. If you don't want to enter the walled garden, there are various ways to make your Windows PC look like a Macbook.

Let's get started.

Note: Before making any big changes, such as installing themes, we recommend shutting down any running apps and establishing a system restore point. Back up your data to OneDrive or another cloud storage service to ensure that you don't lose it if the machine fails. Not that it will, but it's better to be safe than sorry. Every time you install an app or make any changes, you should follow these procedures.

Use Skins and Themes

The quickest way to make Windows UI appear and feel like macOS, or anything else for that matter, is to use a skin pack. We identified a few macOS skin packs for Windows 11, but there are many more strewn about the internet. To learn more, go to the Skin Packs website (see above). Monterey OS updates are included in the one we shared. They also have a darker variant that can be used after the sun has set.

It will modify app and folder icons, add a new background, and other UI changes like as replacing the Windows logo at the bottom with an Apple logo at the top, and so on. During the installation process, you may be asked to select which macOS features you want to use. This is mostly determined by the skin pack you're using.

Transformation Pack for macOS

The macOS Transformation Pack is a software bundle that will change the way you interact with your Windows UI. It is currently in its 5th iteration. It was last updated in 2019, so don't expect it to have a Monterey vibe. On your Windows PC, download and install the programme just like any other app.

Note: Although it was developed for Windows 10 and earlier versions of Windows, I tested it on Windows 11 and it worked fine.

So, what do you get?

It's a theme bundle with a tonne of features and options for customising Windows to your liking. The login screen, desktop, screen saver, fonts, cursor, finder bar, icons, dock, and even music may all be customised to seem like macOS.

You can add URLs to the dock area in addition to adding shortcuts to apps and changing app icons. In contrast to the skin pack, the macOS Transformation Pack has a variety of wallpapers to choose from.

Finishing Touches: Make Windows Look Like MacOS

Individual programmes exist to enable you modify the dock, start menu bar, and add wallpapers, but they're simply too time consuming. A skin pack or theme is the simplest and quickest way to make a Windows machine look and operate like a Mac. It functions as a package that allows you to adjust many parts independently.
