Messenger chat bubbles were one of Facebook Messenger's standout features on Android. On Android, you can now use chat bubbles in any app, including WhatsApp and Messages, for any of your discussions.
Let's look at how to enable chat bubbles for WhatsApp, Messages, and other Android apps.
Because chat bubbles are a more centralised feature on Android, turning them on is a little more complex than opening an app and long-pressing a discussion.
1.Open Settings.
2.Select Notifications.
3.Tap on Bubbles.
4.Turn on the toggle to enable chat bubbles on Android.
So, you can have WhatsApp chat bubbles, Messenger chat heads or bubbles, and regular SMS messages chat bubbles. Obviously, this also works for Telegram.
You still need to authorise individual apps to use the chat bubble after you've enabled it on Android. Many apps have previously exploited Android's broad features. As a result, it's understandable that Google opted to let users choose which apps they wish to use to create chat bubbles.
1.Open the Android Settings app on your phone.
2.Go to the Apps section.
3.If you don't see the app you wish to enable chat bubbles for, tap See all applications.
4.Choose the app for which you want to enable chat bubbles.
5.Select Notifications from the drop-down menu.
6.After that, choose Bubbles.
7.Choose whether or not all discussions should bubble, or only some chats should bubble.
If you allow all conversations to bubble, the app will create a chat bubble whenever you receive a message notice. If you have a lot of contacts and groups on this app, this can be a pain to manage.
You will have to manually allow some discussions from the app to bubble if you prefer to bubble only specified talks. Because this isn't a built-in app function, most apps don't provide an interface for doing so.
This may be done, though, by going to Settings > Notifications > Conversations. You may switch on the Bubble this chat toggle here after selecting an ongoing conversation. Alternatively, you may just wait for a notification to appear and then touch on the small box-arrow in the notification's bottom-right corner.
On Android 11 and higher, you can enable WhatsApp chat bubbles in the Settings. WhatsApp chat bubbles, on the other hand, do not operate right now.
To enable notification bubbles for WhatsApp on your Android phone, head over to Settings > Apps > See all apps > WhatsApp > Notifications > Bubbles. From there, select “All conversations can bubble” to enable WhatsApp chat bubbles for all chats.
WhatsApp does not, unfortunately, support conversation bubbles. With Android 11, apps like Facebook Messenger can no longer use the accessibility permission to create chat heads. Android 11 did, however, include the chat bubble feature, which allows any app to create Messenger-like chat heads or bubbles. App developers must choose whether or not to integrate the feature in their apps. Currently, WhatsApp does not make advantage of this feature.
Except for WhatsApp, most major Android messaging apps, including Google Messages, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, Slack, and even the default SMS apps on Android handsets, support chat bubbles with Android 11 and higher.
Chat bubbles have been a core platform feature since Android 11. This means you'll have to enable bubble chat in your Android settings to use Messenger. To do so, simply follow the steps outlined above.
