How to Share Your iPhone's Screen

When you want to show off something on your phone, deliver a presentation on the move, or even troubleshoot a friend's or parents' iPhone, sharing your iPhone screen can be very beneficial. You already know why you'd like to share your iPhone's screen. How, exactly, is the question. Let us demonstrate the top three ways to share your iPhone's screen.

iPhone Screen Sharing

There are new options to share your iPhone screen starting with iOS 15. We'll show you three ways to achieve the same result.

1.FaceTime

With the iOS 15 upgrade, Apple added screen-sharing functionality to FaceTime. It's a feature of the SharePlay add-on that allows you to share your screen and view movies with others over the phone. This is how you can use FaceTime to share your iPhone screen.

1. On your iPhone, launch FaceTime.

2. Start a FaceTime call by tapping on New FaceTime.

3.Tap the SharePlay button in the top-right corner once the call is connected.

4. Select the option to Share My Screen, and the call participants will be able to see your screen.

Open an app or a PPT file that you'd like to share with other people on the call. You can now use SharePlay to listen to music together during FaceTime group calls.

The screen sharing feature is available on iPhones running iOS 15 or later. You won't be able to see the option to share the screen on iPhone if you're using an older version of iOS. Install the latest iOS version on your iPhone by following the steps below.

1. Go to the iPhone's Settings app.

2. Select the General option from the drop-down menu.

3. Go to the Software Update tab.

4. Download and install the most recent version of the operating system.

You should also ask people on the FaceTime conversation to update to iOS 15, as the shared screen will only appear if they are running the most recent iOS version.

Let's take a look at some of FaceTime's flaws. Despite the fact that Apple has made FaceTime available on Android and Windows, customers who join the FaceTime call using an Android phone or a Windows laptop will not be able to see your shared screen.

Basically, this choice is only appropriate if everyone on the other end of the line is using an iPhone, iPad, or Mac to participate in the conversation. We recommend utilising Google Meet or Telegram for cross-platform functionality.

2. Meet with Google

On iPhone, Android, and the web, Google Meet is available natively. You can easily share the screen with others using Google Meet on iPhone. Unlike FaceTime, which has a 32-person restriction, Google Meet allows you to connect with up to 100 people at once.

1. Go to the App Store and download the Google Meet app.

2. Tap the New Meeting icon at the top of the Google Meet app.

3. Share the meeting link with others and wait for them to join the call.

4. From the active Google Meet call screen, touch on the three-dot menu and select Share screen.

5. The Screen Broadcast menu will appear on iOS. Make sure Meet is chosen, then select Start Broadcast.

Everyone in the Google Meet call will be able to see your screen after a 3-second timer.

You can stop sharing the screen at any time in Google Meet on iPhone by tapping on Stop sharing.

3. Use of telegram

On the iPhone, there are a plethora of IM programmes that support screen-sharing. We chose Telegram as one of them for a seamless screen-sharing experience. Here's how to use a Telegram video call to share your iPhone screen.

1. Go to a conversation in Telegram.

2. Start the video call and then turn off the camera toggle once the call is connected.

3. The app will prompt you to choose a different screen for users who are on a call.

4. Go to the Phone Screen and press the bottom-right Continue button.

To begin sharing the screen with others, iOS will offer the usual Screen Broadcast menu.

Get Things Done on Your iPhone

We put all three options for sharing the iPhone screen to the test. With other Apple users, FaceTime worked like a charm. Telegram and Google Meet, on the other hand, are best suited for Android and Windows users.

However, you should not make it a habit to give presentations on your iPhone. The whole experience is limited, and you won't be able to use features like whiteboarding over screen sharing on your iPhone.
