Screen time has been hailed as one of the cutting-edge features that can help people spend less time on their phones. While this is questionable, it is still entertaining to monitor screen time. For the uninitiated, the screen time function displays a complete summary of time spent on the phone, as well as app-specific statistics. Let's look at two ways to check screen time on Samsung Galaxy phones, as well as some ideas on how to make the most of this function.
On your Samsung phone, there are two ways to view screen time. You can accomplish this through the settings menu or by adding a widget to your home screen.
This is one of the easiest ways to check screen time.
1. On your Samsung Galaxy phone, go to Settings. To access the gear symbol, simply slide down from the top of the screen.
2. Scroll down to Digital wellbeing and parental controls and tap on it.
3. The screen time for the current day, as well as the three most-used apps, will greet you. Other methods to tailor and use screen time on Samsung Galaxy phones can be found here. We've covered those in the section below on screen time tips.
You may add a screen time widget to the home screen to keep track of screen time throughout the day without having to access the settings.
1. Press and hold anywhere on the home screen's vacant space. At the bottom, click Widgets.
2. Tap on Digital Wellbeing to expand and see the screen time widgets that are available.

To open the screen time dashboard, tap on the Screen time widget.
Go to Settings > Digital wellbeing and parental controls to see detailed screen time statistics every day. Tap on the label that says "time spent." The Dashboard screen will emerge, including graphical representations of the screen time for the current date and the last seven days. This is really helpful when comparing numbers. Use the arrows next to the date at the top to switch between the dates.
The most-used apps, the amount of notifications received, and the number of unlocks per day may all be found by scrolling down.

Tap on an app's name beneath any segment of screen time to see comprehensive details. The exact time the app was used, the number of alerts received, and the number of times the app was opened are among these details.
You can also see the app's weekly screen time numbers by tapping the Weekly tab at the top. To switch weeks, use the arrows.
Open Settings > Digital wellbeing and parental controls to get your weekly screen time report. In the top-right corner, tap the Graph icon. You'll see your daily screen time, weekly average screen time, and most-used apps.
Tap on the matching bar in the graph to see the screen time for a certain day.
By setting screen time goals, you can limit how much time you spend in front of the device. For example, if you only want to use your phone for 3 hours, you might create a 3 hour objective. When you have used your phone for the chosen amount of time, your phone will send you an alert asking you to turn it off.
Go to Settings > Digital wellbeing and parental controls to create a screen time goal. Under Your goals, select the Screen time option.
Set the desired time by tapping on Goal.
You can use app timers in addition to screen time goals. This function allows you to define a preferred amount of screen time for the apps, as intended. You'll be told after the set time is up that you've used up all of the app's available screen time. Furthermore, unless you modify the app timing settings, the app icon in the app drawer or on the home screen will seem greyed out and unavailable.
On the Digital wellbeing screen, tap on App timers under the Your goals section to establish an app timer. Set the time for which you can use the app by tapping the hourglass icon next to it.
You can also press the hourglass icon next to the App timer option by tapping on an app name anywhere on the Digital wellbeing screen.
