Tips & Tricks for the Samsung Galaxy S22 Camera

Samsung's Galaxy S-series smartphones are renowned for their hardware prowess and feature-laden photography systems. And the Galaxy S22 series smartphones are no exception this year. However, as we all know, a phone is more than just a piece of hardware. If you want to get the most out of it, you must be familiar with all of the Samsung Galaxy S22 camera tips.

Therefore, if you recently purchased the Galaxy S22 (or are considering purchasing one), take a look at these Samsung Galaxy S22 photography tips and tricks to learn everything there is to know about the camera on your phone.

1. SELECT THE BEASTLY 108MP MODE

The Galaxy S22 features a higher-resolution 108MP camera. And wow, does it catch some incredible images. However, this option is not activated by default due to the fact that such images tend to take up more space. Nonetheless, if you want to shoot in 108MP mode, here's how.

Open the camera and tap on the top-right Aspect Ratio icon. Choose 108MP and begin shooting.

Revert to the previous setting if necessary, unless you wish to run out of space.

2. ACTIVATE THE SCENE OPTIMIZER

If you want to create Instagram-worthy photographs quickly, it's time to enable the Scene Optimizer. When engaged, this feature automatically enhances the shot using artificial intelligence. They become, in a nutshell, Instagram-ready.

To enable Scene Optimize, navigate to Settings and flip the Scene Optimizer switch on.

To enable it, the camera must be in Photo mode.

3. ENABLE AUTO-FRAME FOR VIDEOS

The latest S-series smartphones are, well, smart. Now, it can assist you in selecting an appropriate frame for your films. True, without a doubt. This feature, dubbed Auto Frame, automatically changes the zoom to keep your subjects within the frame.

Switch to Video mode and press on the small white circle in the lower-right corner to enable Auto Frame. That is all. From now on, the frame will automatically adjust to include everyone in it. However, you cannot utilise Super Steady with Auto Frame activated.

4. CAPTURE AN EIGHT-THOUSAND-THOUSAND-THOUSAND SNAP

You're probably already aware that your phone is capable of recording videos in 8K. Simply hit the FHD-icon at the top (when in Video mode), and the camera will begin recording at 8K.

The nicest aspect is that you can also take high-resolution photos concurrently. Simply tap the small camera icon in the bottom-left corner.

Photographs taken in this manner have nearly the same resolution as traditional photographs.

5. IN NIGHT MODE, EXTEND THE TIMER

Additionally, the Galaxy S22 includes a dedicated Night Mode. By default, Night Mode analyses the scene in front of the camera and adjusts the shutter speed appropriately.

However, if you wish to extend the duration of the camera shutter, you can 'Maximise' it.

To do so, toggle to Night Mode and tap on the Timer-icon in the lower-right corner of the screen. Select Max and then click the Shutter button.

And yes, remember to remain still until the photo is complete. The timer is displayed only when the camera detects a dark scene.

6. ADD AN EDGE TO PORTRAITS

The Galaxy S22 Ultra's portraiture is amazing. The background is perfectly blurred and coloured. The good news is that you may alter the background impact of portrait photographs to add a new dimension to them. You can experiment with a variety of effects, ranging from Black and White to ColorPoint.

Therefore, the next time you're about to take a portrait, tap on the circular shape in the lower-right corner. All that remains is for you to select an option from the list.

Simultaneously, you can change the effect's intensity to give the shot a more genuine appearance. Black-and-white portraits will always appear elegant.

7. PERSONALIZE A SINGLE TAKE

Single Take mode is an interesting feature of premium Samsung phones since it snaps many images in a variety of styles. Interestingly, it accomplishes everything simultaneously. For the time being, it captures Rewind, Boomerang, and videos with Filters.

The good thing is that you can disable some options if you don't want them cluttering your Single Take gallery. To do so, toggle the mode to Single Take and touch on the Shuffle-icon in the top-right corner.

Now, deselect the ones you do not wish to keep and click the Ok button. Simple, as you can see.

8. REGULARLY CHECK FILTERS

Wouldn't it be incredible if your smartphone remembered your most recently used camera settings? It will ultimately save you time and energy.

To ensure that your phone remembers the last settings you used, navigate to Settings and select Keep Last Used Settings.

Once inside, adjust the switches to your liking.

9. EFFECTS OF PORTRAIT MODIFICATION

Additionally, the Galaxy S22 series smartphones enable you to customise the backdrop effects of older portraits. That is correct! Therefore, if you decide one day that a Zoom-effect will seem better, you can change it immediately.
